Dr. Sonia Costa is one of the Academic Research Volunteers at Science & Wisdom LIVE. She is also a medical writer, with a growing interest in meditation and Buddhism. Sonia holds a PhD in Microbiology, has worked as a researcher in the field of Infectious Diseases for many years and now combines her love for writing and her scientific training to promote science communication.
Shortly after a relocation to London and by complete chance (or not!), Sonia has found Jamyang Buddhist Centre London and was fortunate to enrol in a new programme launched in 2021. She is equally fortunate to be part of Science & Wisdom LIVE’s amazing team and to contribute to this outstanding project. Sonia strongly believes that the intersection between Science and Buddhism can only be a seed of infinite possibilities; an opportunity to exchange ideas, gain a deeper understanding of the mind and nature of reality, collaborate and, ultimately, to explore paths beneficial to all beings.
