Paula Chichester is a student of healing through body work, yoga, dance, meditation and Buddhism since she was a teenager. She is known for leading experiential Buddhist meditations that are based in breath and body awareness.
Choosing an unusual life, she gave up livelihood, home and family in 1982 to devote her life to intensive practice and study in isolated hermitages for 35 years or more, following the traditional path of the yogi in Lama Tsong Khapa’s Ear Whispered Lineage under the direction of Kyabje Thubten Zopa Rinpoche.
Her university training in the systems approach to ecosystem management and earlier years of yoga, chi gong, holistic healing and dance transformed and informed her adventure into the world of traditional Tibetan Buddhism.
